Sunflowers have always been my favorite flower. Fortunately for me, Van Gogh painted Twelve Sunflowers in a Vase for me to use in my countdown. He knew it would be needed to celebrate my departure from my job! ;)
I never did like sunflowers. But Van Gogh is my favorite painter and I love his sunflower paintings. Just like a good writer can interest you in a subject you were never before interested in, a good artist can make you see the appeal of something you thought you didn't like. (Not that I'd ever call him just a "good" painter.):)
